地元である東京の江戸川区と江東区を舞台に、5年間にわたり仕事後に深夜の住宅街を歩き、都市の歴史を追った。
東京大空襲の被災地と戦後の復興を過ごした街並みが朽ちていく様子を写し出し、記憶の消失を描く。
作品は清里写真美術館に収蔵され、「作家独特の視点」と評価された。
For six years, he followed the history of the city by walking through residential areas late at night after work in his hometowns of Edogawa and Koto wards in Tokyo.
He depicts the loss of memory by capturing the areas hit by the Tokyo Air Raid and the decay of the city streets where he spent his postwar reconstruction period.
His work is in the collection of the Kiyosato Museum of Photography and has been praised for “the artist’s unique perspective.
